The climate year of Belek

Belek is located about 30 km east of Antalya on the Turkish Riviera. It is surrounded by pine forests. The town lives exclusively from tourism. You can find mainly hotels for higher demands with an all-inclusive offer. The place has an ideal location to make excursions to excavations or to enjoy nature. In winter, temperatures are mild, which attracts long-term vacationers to spend the winter. This period is also often used by sports teams for training camps. Sun-seekers and bathing mermaids get their money's worth during the hot summers.

General information about Belek

Belek is in season all year round due to its mild winter. While previously many hotels were closed for renovation in the winter, people have become aware of the potential to offer older vacationers an over-winter vacation of several weeks at pleasant temperatures and good value for money. Almost every hotel has a wellness offer with hamam, spa and medical treatments. Families and bathers appreciate the long pebble beaches and the shallow sea. Numerous golf courses and tennis courts round out the sporting offerings. In Belek you can visit the mosque, the fountain and the Garden of Tolerance. The bazaar with its oriental specialties and the dolphinarium are also worth seeing. Those interested in culture can visit the nearby archaeological sites of Perge and Aspendos or make a detour to Antalya to the Archaeological Museum. Nature lovers should visit the Manavgat waterfalls, birdwatchers will find something in the dunes and pine forests.

Tourism Belek

In the winter months, temperatures never reach the frost line, snow is extremely rarely seen on the Turkish Riviera. Coldest and rainiest months are December and January with minimum 6°C and maximum 17°C , 4-5 hours of sunshine per day and 11-12 rainy days per month with abundant rainfall. The water temperatures are 16-17°C. By April/May, temperatures rise steadily into comfortable ranges, up to 28°C during the day, 15°C at night and sunshine hours increase significantly with 8-10 per day, water temperatures reach 18-21°C, rainy days are 7-5 per month. June to September are the hottest months with 34-36°C during the day and 19-23° at night. During this period there is no rain, the sunshine hours are 10-12 hours per day. The water now has temperatures between 24°C and 27°C. In October and November, temperatures drop continuously to 22°C during the day and 10°C at night, and sunshine hours to 6 per day. Also the rainy days increase again with 6-9 per month and the water temperatures drop to values between 20°C and 17°C.
