The reason is the coastal road to Edfu, on which Marsa Alam is an important junction. Since 2001, the city can also be reached via the airport of the same name, which is located about 60 kilometers south of the city. If you are looking for relaxation and tranquility on vacation, this is the right place for you. Especially divers will find colorful coral gardens with soft and hard corals and unharmed reefs. Also water turtles are omnipresent, with a little luck you can even discover them during a snorkeling trip. Sunshine hours average between eight and eleven hours with an average of one rainy day, which usually falls in December.
