The climate year of Mexico City
Mexico City is located in the so-called cold tropics. It is located right in the valley of Mexico and thus about 2300 meters above sea level. Mexico City's climate is influenced by its high altitude of 2,310 meters. This means that moderate spring-like temperatures prevail throughout the year. During the months of November to April, Mexico City is in the dry season. This period is one of the most beautiful travel times, because very warm temperatures and many sunny hours spoil the vacationer and let the country shine. Due to the few rainy days in this period, excursions to the surrounding area as well as the visit of the many different sights are ideal. Spring in Mexico City begins in March and lets everything bloom. It is particularly hot and humid between the months of May and October. Especially in the months of June to September, rain showers occur frequently, accompanied by strong thunderstorms. The sun also finds its way through the clouds during this time, providing a multitude of sunny hours, but leaving an oppressive atmosphere.
