Mexico City is located in the so-called cold tropics. It is located right in the valley of Mexico and thus about 2300 meters above sea level. The winter itself is quite warm, but is accompanied by frosty nights. The summer, on the other hand, convinces with a large number of sunny hours. For the different climatic areas in Mexico provide three different climate zones. They are composed of the summer humid outer tropics in the southeast, the dry subtropics in the tropic region and the rainy climate in the outer west. Mexico City itself convinces with a dry and at the same time moderately humid climate. The city is surrounded by high mountains on three sides, which additionally influence the climate. The Metropolitan Cathedral is not only an imposing looking church, it provides a unique contrast to the modern architecture of the Museo Soumaja. All in all, Mexico City offers many more interesting buildings and attractions that make this city exciting in its own way. Many sightseeing tours offered or even Segway tours help vacationers plan their visits. They certainly make for a fun, but also interesting day. Besides the sights, the amusement park Six Flags Mexico as well as the zoo Parque Zoologico de Chapultepec offer a lot of rest and relaxation for the whole family.

During the months of November to April, Mexico City is in the dry season. This period is one of the most beautiful travel times, because very warm temperatures and many sunny hours spoil the vacationer and let the country shine. Due to the few rainy days in this period, excursions to the surrounding area as well as the visit of the many different sights are ideal. Spring in Mexico City begins in March and lets everything bloom. It is particularly hot and humid between the months of May and October. Especially in the months of June to September, rain showers occur frequently, accompanied by strong thunderstorms. The sun also finds its way through the clouds during this time, providing a multitude of sunny hours, but leaving an oppressive atmosphere.
