The climate year of Pattaya

Pattaya stretches about 15 kilometers along the Gulf of Thailand. The sea current ensures pleasant temperatures throughout the year, which do not fall below the 20 °C mark in any of the three seasons. Located on the east coast of Thailand, Pattaya differs little climatically from Bangkok, located 130 kilometers to the southeast, which is connected to Pattaya by an expressway. Just as in the national capital, Pattaya has high humidity, which can be as high as 90 percent. Only a quarter of Pattaya is land area. The largest part of the land area is occupied by water and some islands. The extensive urban area of Pattaya includes the municipalities of Na Kluea, Nong Prue and a small part of Nong Pla Lai and Huai Yai.

In close proximity to the city center, there is the center of nightlife at the beach section on Central Road. Quieter and a little outside Pattaya, separated by Buddha Hill, is the beach of Jomtien. An attraction for many families who reside comfortably in the beach hotels, apartment towers and bungalow villages located there. Coral reefs, rare and colorful fish and also fine-grained sandy beaches can be found on the island of Ko Lan, which can be visited by speedboat or ferry. For example, there are several golf courses and leisure parks such as the world-famous tiger zoo in Si Racha or an underwater world where the biodiversity of the sea can be marveled at.

Tourism Pattaya

The climate in Pattaya can be described as tropical-monsoonal. The most pleasant and tolerable time for Europeans to travel is during the months of November to February, when Pattaya is pleasantly warm and, above all, dry, temperatures range between 20 and 30 °C and humidity does not exceed 50 percent. Then follows from February to May, the hottest period, when the termometer climbs up to 40 °C. This is also the time of the highest probability of rainfall and many rainstorms, which is why during this period high humidity of up to 75 percent can be expected. The rainy season, the so-called monsoon, lasts from June to October. Hot temperatures of up to 35 ° C prevail. The humidity rises up to 90 percent.
