The climate year of Shanghai

Shanghai is considered the most important industrial city in the People's Republic of China and is one of the largest cities in the world with over 23 million inhabitants. It is located in eastern China and is divided into two sides by the Huangpu River. To the west of the river is the older Puxi, while to the east is the new Pudong. Shanghai lies in a large delta formed by the Yangtze River as it flows into the East China Sea. Shanghai has a subtropical maritime monsoon climate, being on the border between humid-cool maritime climate and suptropical-warm monsoon climate.

General information about Shanghai

Shanghai is a vibrant and cosmopolitan metropolis that offers a fascinating mix of traditional Chinese neighborhoods and modern office towers. From the Bund, the waterfront promenade on the Huangpu River, the famous Shanghai skyline can be observed, which is especially spectacular in the evening. The Yuyuan Garden provides a glimpse of classical Chinese garden art. The tallest building in the city, the Shanghai World Financial Center, offers a breathtaking view of the city. The largest and most beautiful temple in Shanghai is Longhua Temple, where you can still see the old city entrance with its two stone lions. Shanghai's markets, such as the flower market on Hong Jing Road and the fabric market on Dongmen Lu, are also worth a visit.
