The climate year of Bangalore

In the southwest of India lies the state of Karnatka with the capital Bangalore (since 2014 Bengaluru) with more than 8.5 million inhabitants. It is the third largest city on the subcontinent after Delhi and Mumbai, and in recent years has become one of the country's most important IT cities. In addition, the center for the aerospace industry has been established here for a long time, including its exploration. Due to the higher altitude of 900 m, the temperatures here are almost pleasant, compared to the lower lying parts of the country and in winter without much precipitation. In summer, however, the temperature can rise to 35°C during the day and the monsoon rains last from May to October. General information about Bangalore

Bangalore is called the "Garden City" because of its many parks and is known for silk products and sandalwood carvings. The most beautiful and largest parks are Lal Bagh and Cubbon Park. Lal Bagh, the "red garden" south of the city center, has a botanical garden, a large glass house, beautiful rose beds and a rock that is 3 billion years old. Cubbon Park, with 120 hectares, is the counterpart of Central Park in New York and is used for recreation from smog and heat. In the center of the park is the State Central Library and on the edge to the east is the Government Museum with stone carvings, the Venkatappa Art Gallery and the Technical Museum. Vidhana Soudha (the Parliament) is also a sight of the city and of course the fort, originally built in 1537 but later partially destroyed. In the south of Bangalore is the Shivaji Nagar district with the Infantry Road, which offers precious souvenirs such as the cashmere shawl or a carved Ganesha. To the north of the Shivaji bus stop, fruits are offered on handcarts and there are many stores of craftsmen, small cookshops with Indian food and the chai (tea). The residents of this neighborhood are very mixed, you can see black veiled women, but also the modern manager. Since the IT industry has produced many wealthy people, the MG Road area has shopping malls, restaurants with Western-style food, multiplex cinemas, pubs and bars, and you can meet fashion and trend-conscious young people.

Bangalore is located at about 13° north latitude and due to the location of 900 m altitude does not have the hot temperatures as in the lower altitudes of India.
