Australia can provide any German vacationer with a pleasant alternative program to their own climate. Because if it is cold and wet here from December to February, Australia can provide a hot summer with quite a lot of sunshine hours. On the other hand, during the German summer months from May to August, vacationers can find cooler temperatures in some regions in Australia, but no ice and snow can be expected, because the temperatures remain above freezing. For a summer vacation in New Zealand, vacationers can expect temperatures around 30 degrees from December to February, but even from June to August, you can't expect snow and ice here, as temperatures are wonderfully mild and won't drop below 10 degrees Celsius. In the remaining months of the year, New Zealand is the ideal destination for those who love mild temperatures and who like to swim in warm sea water when nobody in Germany wants to swim in the North and Baltic Seas.

Oceania includes countless small and large islands, with Samoa, Tonga or the Cook Islands able to provide warm temperatures all year round. The subtropical climate can bring maximum temperatures up to around 30 degrees and even at night the temperatures do not drop below 15 degrees. In April and May you can expect increased rainfall and depending on the island you should consider the months of June to November as travel months, because at this time a hurricane can spoil the vacation fun.
