The small harbor town of St. Tropez is located at the southeastern end of the Massif des Maures and is considered on the Côte d'Azur as the city of the international jet set with mild and moderate temperatures all year round.

The climate year of Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez, or Sant-Troupès in Provençal, has only about 5000 inhabitants and is located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region on the northern shore of a peninsula. Annually, about five million visitors visit the small town, especially prominent Europeans visit the famous beach clubs Tahiti Plage, Club 55, Nikki Beach and Aqua Club. Saint-Tropez offers boutiques and restaurants to these rich visitors and it is not for nothing that the place is considered expensive. Already at the end of the 19th century, this place, filled with a special light, attracted artists such as Henri Matisse, Paul Signac and Pierre Bonnard. Works of these painters can be admired today in the Musée de l'Annonciade, which is located right next to the port. Saint-Tropez became a highlight through Gunter Sachs and Brigitte Bardot and the movies with Louis de Funès. In the 1950s, a large marina was built and the Baie de Pampelonne, a large sandy beach, which is actually located in the municipality of Ramatuelle.

A citadel was built above the village of Saint-Tropez in 1592 with a unique view of the area. Today, the citadel houses a museum, furnished with many ship models, maritime and local history. In the Museé de St. Tropez L'Annonciade, the visitor will find collections of paintings and sculptures, and for fans of the actor Louis des Funès, the old gendarmerie, where 6 films were shot with him in the role of Cruchot. La Maison des Papillons (Musée dany-Lartigue) contains a collection of about 35,000 different species of butterflies by Dany Lartigue, who has collected and arranged butterflies here from all parts of the world over the last 20 years. There are a lot of not known and endangered species which are arranged according to aesthetic, educational and scientific points of view.
